Species-Specific Targeting: Each fish species has preferred lure types. Your lure's catch multiplier only applies when fishing for species that prefer your equipped lure.

No Universal Effect: If a fish doesn't prefer your lure type, you get no bonus - just your base rod × reel power for that catch attempt.

Strategic Choice: Different lures work better for different fish species and biomes, making lure selection a key strategic decision.
