Buy Your First Pack

Congratulations! With your wallet connected, you're ready to buy your first equipment pack and start your fishing journey. This guide walks you through the entire process.

🎯 Why You Need Packs​

You can't fish without equipment! SAB requires a complete 6-piece loadout:

  • 🚢 Boat (determines accessible biomes)
  • 🎣 Rod (affects catch success)
  • ⚙️ Reel (fishing efficiency)
  • 🪝 Hook (maximum fish weight)
  • 🪢 Line (fishing depth)
  • 🎯 Lure (species bonuses)

Packs are how you get this equipment.

First Pack Strategy

Use Starter Packs to get a complete equipment set. You can upgrade later as you earn more $SLAM.

🛍️ How to Buy Packs​

Step 1: Navigate to Pack Store​

  1. Open Slam Ass Bass game
  2. Ensure wallet is connected (top right)
  3. Click "Pack Store" or "Buy Packs"
  4. You'll see available pack types with current $SLAM prices

Step 2: Select Your Pack Type​

  • New players: Choose "Starter Pack"
  • Budget: Consider how many packs you can afford
  • Risk tolerance: Starter = safer, Pro = higher variance

Step 3: Purchase Process​

  1. Click "Buy Starter Pack" (or your chosen pack)
  2. Wallet will prompt you to approve the transaction
  3. Confirm the transaction (small SOL fee required)
  4. Wait for blockchain confirmation (~30 seconds)
  5. ✅ Pack added to your inventory!

Step 4: Open Your Pack​

  1. Go to "Inventory" or "My Packs"
  2. Find your unopened pack
  3. Click "Open Pack"
  4. Watch the reveal animation! 🎉
  5. Equipment is added to your collection

📦 What Happens When You Open Packs​

Pack Contents​

Packs contain one or multiple items inside them.

To start fishing, you need one of each equipment type: Boat, Rod, Reel, Hook, Line, and Lure.

Alternative: Buy from Marketplace

You can also buy specific equipment pieces from marketplaces like Magic Eden. Always check item attributes before buying - avoid items with 0 durability or other undesirable stats!

⚙️ After Opening: Equipment Check​

Inventory Management​

  1. Go to "Equipment" or "Inventory"
  2. Check what equipment types you have:
    • ✅ Boat, Rod, Reel, Hook, Line, Lure = Ready to fish!
    • ❌ Missing any piece = Need more packs

Equipment Quality Assessment​

Don't overthink your first set! Even all-Common equipment lets you:

  • Participate in fishing simulation
  • Catch fish and earn $SLAM
  • Learn game mechanics
  • Work toward upgrades
